My latest obsession, the addictive popular tv series that’s hot like a bomb now, Gossip Girl.

“Spotted” Gossip Girl blog

Base on a teen drama book series written by Cecily von Ziegesar. The series was created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and premiered on The CW on September 19, 2007. Narrated by the omniscient yet unseen blogger “Gossip Girl”The series revolves around the lives of privileged teenagers attending an elite private school in New York City’s Upper East Side.

My favourite character is the bad boy you love to hate Chuck Bass (Charles Bartholomew “Chuck” Bass) played by Ed Westwick. Chuck resides with his family at the Plaza Hotel on the Upper East Side and attends school at the Riverside Preparatory School for Boys on the Upper West Side. Chuck is largely friendless, but is tolerated by the others because of his family’s enormous wealth. He is described as having flamboyant fashion sense, with a penchant for scarves. Lazy and vain, Chuck’s only interests are sex and money, and he is frequently chided by his father for lacking ambition and performing poorly in school. He is the resident bad boy of the Upper East Side, originally portrayed as a Casanova type. Despite his rich irritating ways, he has a good heart. I guess someone that’s rich, powerful and charming has it’s ways. I have to say, i like his signature scarf, It’s Chuck Bass

Also well known for his fashion. Only what the Upper East Siders will wear o_0 Or maybe it’s just Chuck, hehe! His famous quote “Because I’m Chuck Bass” Full of confidence and full of himself i’d say. Well i guess when he says it in his mellow voice and mysterious eyes somehow it’s just charming, you will just hate to love him, lol.

A lot of people doesn’t know that Ed Westwick is British. He’s just speaking in an American accent in the series. He trained at The National Youth Theatre in London and was recently seen in the role of Alex in Alfonso Cuaron’s “Children of Men,” opposite Clive Owen and Julianne Moore. He just turn 22 on June 27, 1987. When not filming “Gossip Girl” in New York City, Westwick lives outside London.

Ed Westwick is also currently dating cast mate Jessica Szohr (Vanessa Abrams)

Jessica Szohr (full name Jessica Karen Szohr) is a model of both Caucasian and African-American descent. Jessica Sohr was discovered at age 16 where she began working as a Kohl’s Department Store model, and that ultimately led her to acting, where we know her from Gossip Girl.

Chase Crawford (Nate Archibald) plays Vanessa boyfriend and Chuck’s best friend.

Ed Westwick and Chase Crawford are also housemates in real life. They must get along really well since in set and off set they stay and hang together.

I have never been addicted to a tv series before but i guess we all like or need to have some drama in our lives.Too bad i’m finishing season 2 soon. Season 3 is just currently started in the States, so it will be awhile till the dvd set comes out sigh. More drama in college i suppose and more twist and surprises. Of course the story is exageratted  with rich and powerful socialites in the upper east side. That’s why it’s a drama. Just like how people would chase Korean series and Hong Kong series. Some people may think it’s bitchy, hey… we all hope to have some Blair within us or hope there’s a Chuck Bass around ;P (watch it and you will know what i mean)
