During my best friends visit, i took them to the land of grace, Ipoh. Our first stop was at Kellie’s Castle.
If you never heard before about Kellie’s Castle it is well known for being haunted. How haunted is it ? Well i’ve heard stories but don’t how true it is so it’s better off thinking it’s just another tourist attraction. Kellie’s Castle (sometimes also called Kellie’s Folly) is located near Batu Gajah, and is about 20 minutes’ drive from Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. The unfinished, ruined mansion, was built by a Scottish planter called William Kellie Smith. According to differing accounts, it was either a gift for his wife or a home for his son.

There are notices around the castle asking you to be careful. They didn’t have the notices few years ago. I guess now by putting the notice it makes the castle scarier.
This is the famous corridor. It is believed that Kellie’s spirit still wonders about at this corridor in the night. Careful when you take pictures at night here! You might see something you don’t want to see…..
Popular movies stars from Hong Kong like Leon Lai and Shu Qi has filmed in the castle, in fact in this very room.
This is the stairs to the basement and it’s pitch black. It used to be a wine cellar… a lot of people gets freaked out walking down here.. I don’t know why.
The girls were making their way down i am just right behind them. Moment later… AAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
SNAP! And there they were, running out of the cellar shouting. This is taken in the pitch black wine cellar when she extended her hand to snap the picture then ran screaming out. I thought what happen?! GOTCHA! all of us started laughing. Thinking back about it.. makes me laugh again! Haha!
Signs like this within the castle gives you the creeps. As if something will happen.
But nothing happened. *whistles*
On the roof top, girls be careful now… you jump i jump! ^_^
This is the last place we snapped pictures and we’re starting to feel hungry so off we go to stuff our face!
To be continued…
If you have not heard yet, staffing is a problems these days. From small jobs to big corporate jobs. First they like to complaint there’s no jobs, the actual fact is there are lot’s jobs. When they find a job the day when they are suppose to come to work, they just don’t show up. Either they found a better job or they are just too lazy to work. Then they will go back to complaining there is no jobs around. It’s just plain and simple that people these days don’t take jobs seriously.
I am frustrated, sick and tired of all these job seekers that is just not serious. If you don’t want to work just don’t ask for vacancy. When you promise to come to work, make sure you show up. What’s the point of asking for a job when there is no intention of showing up. Wasting my time and wasting your time lingering around.
If you are wondering what is the age group i’m talking about? From 17-24 but none the less that in the corporate world it is just the same. When i was complaining this problem to my friend and she told me that her company is facing the same problem. I was surprise i thought just in the retail industry not big US companies. I guess i was wrong, she told me the candidate they hired didn’t show up for work either, in fact few of them. The worst thing is that they never call to inform you. If you are not interested in the job anymore at least inform the employer. I guess they are shy and thought who would care cause they would not be working there anyway. Two words, no responsibility.
For those that happen to show up for work, they will either complaint that it’s too boring or it’s too much work. I don’t understand what is too much work for a no brainer job!? You are suppose to work, meaning you will have a job function that you have to do which in my case don’t require any brain work. Just very simple on the surface where by everyone is able to do, and still they think it’s hard work, wtf?! As for the corporate jobs, they will think it’s hard work or they had no experience how are they able to do the job this that load of excuses. There’s a word, it’s called LEARN i suggest that these people that fall into this category, look it up in the dictionary and understand the real meaning of it. For those of you who is wondering about the pay…. it is not low, it is higher than the market rate.
If working is not for you, just stay home be a bum don’t waste someone else’s time. If it’s not important to you, it is important to someone else.
Till next time…

Many of you may be wondering, why does people hold candlelight vigils when they have something to say, or when something unfortunate happens. From my research, there could be a few possible origins of candlelight vigils.
One source says that the candlelight vigils has pagan roots to it, with Druids rituals coming to mind. Another source said that in the past, before electricity was available for everyone, when a person is ill or dying, people would group together and pray for the person to get better, and they will bring candles to the occasion. The last, and the most neutral one says that candlelight vigils are done to show unity, with the flame of the candle representing their hearts and their will.
My conclusion from the research was, whatever the roots of it, it’s the message that matter. When people group together to send a message across, a candlelight in hand represents the unity, the heart, and the burning desire to peacefully convey the message, as opposed to a unruly demonstration. If I hold a high ranking post in the government, given a choice, I’ll choose a peaceful candlelight vigil over a strike or mass rally any day.

With all the economy slowdown talk around the world, and amidst rumours that the BLR is going to be increased soon, fixed rate home loans looks set to be a very attractive option right now. And the best fixed rate home loan packages in Malaysia are AIA and ING.
Problem is, AIA’s parent company, AIG, collapsed a few weeks ago, requiring government rescue, and now rumours is rife that ING is also facing problems.
What now then? Any ideas?
Been freezing at my store for days and i wanted to eat something warm and soupy. What’s more better than steamboat. I have mentioned it to peking duck every time we pass by the area that the steamboat there is quite nice. It’s located at Bandar Puteri Puchong.
It’s not one of those fancy steamboats. Just another ordinary coffee shop (kopitiam) that specializes in steamboat. There are a lot in the area so be careful when you choose which shop you plan to eat. There are some that’s fancy and so is the price. We order for 2 persons as you can see in the picture.
We added additional fish balls and foo chuk.
No doubt it just look like any other steamboat, but why is it my favourite? I simply find the soup base irresistible! Well maybe it’s the MSG (it doesn’t taste like it, maybe it is maybe it’s not) but it’s really really nice. If you are one of those cantonese that like soup like me, then this is the place you should not miss!
Till next time…
It was a boring and predictable race, there was no rain, no minor incidents, no major incidents, no nothing, just smog and dust.
1st place – Lewis Hamilton (94 pts)
2nd place – Felipe Massa (87 pts)
3rd place – Kimi Raikonnen
4th place – Fernando Alonso
Massa is 7 points behind, which means he will need 8 or more points to win the championship. There is a few scenarios in which he can do this:
Scenario A – Massa 1st, Hamilton 6th or below.
Scenario B – Massa 2nd, Hamilton 8th or below.
Basically, if Lewis Hamilton gets anywhere from 1st to 5th position in the next race, he wins. Massa, on the other hand, needs to finish either 1st or 2nd to even stand a chance. At this moment, I doubt Massa can snatch the WDC away from Hamilton.
Alonso finished on a solid 4th, after starting from 4th. The only cars in front of him were Ferrari and McLaren, again proving that Renault has indeed improved their cars, although still not enough to pressure Ferrari or McLaren. Hope what they learned this season will propel them to the front next season, and give Alonso the car that he deserves.
Sorry guys it’s not about Apple Mac computers, it’s about MAC cosmetic. What is there to write on a lazy Sunday afternoon than a make up review
enjoy.
I bought this product few months ago. I was never a MAC user but it was introduce from my friend. Most of her make up is from MAC. I was complaining that i have red spots on my cheek and my chin. Although i have good complexion somehow my face seems to be patchy even after i apply foundation. Since i’m a blusher person it just doesn’t seem nice and smooth after i apply my blusher cause i’ll have blusher on and still have pink spots on various areas. This actually falls into the category of uneven skin tone. What i have is small pinkish freckles on my cheek and sometimes on my chin. Even after applying foundation it does not cover the pink freckles. What foundation does is to cover up and smoothen your skin but it does not necessarily camouflage everything that’s on your skin, freckles for example, or greenish/yellowish veins that some girls might have.
What MAC Primer does is that it evens out your skin first before any foundation is applied. I guess this is why it’s called prep+prime. Not only that it evens out the skin tone it also act like as a moisturizer and gives your skin a nice healthy glow so it won’t be dry and no worries about clog pores. A lot of people wonder what is MAC primer, i myself did a search before buying and couldn’t find any info about it. Until i was at the MAC store and the make up consultant explain and show me what it is for and how to use it. I tested it before buying as in the make up consultant applied on me and i would go back and see how the texture and the feel of the make up is. In terms of long lasting, does it feel cakey, oily after half a day or too dry, you get the idea.
I was very satisfied with the trial period i gave myself. The make up consultant gave a lil sample for me to take home. I use it on a couple of occasions like my salsa nights cause you will sweat, during the days when i have to work outdoors, and also during the days when i have to work indoors. It suits different occasions, it doesn’t run when you sweat, it doesn’t dry when there’s too much air condition. If you are one of those that falls into the uneven skin tone, think applying foundation makes your skin looks smooth wait till you prep and prime first you will be so happy with the results.

A few days ago, a friend asked for my help in choosing a web hosting package. And just yesterday, I saw a blog asking for the same advice, prompting me to write this article.
In this article, I will share with you the criteria and the tools that I use for choosing a web hosting package.
Criteria
Now, from what I observed, most people make the mistake of using the storage of the web hosting package (i.e. 2GB storage, or 20GB storage, etc) and the bandwidth (20 GB per month, or unlimited, etc) as a primary, or the most important criteria in choosing a web hosting package. I, on the other hand, consider the storage and bandwidth as the least important criteria.
Why?
The amount of data you can store and the bandwidth is nothing compared to the performance (in terms of speed) and support service of the web hosting company that you sign up for. Even if you have unlimited storage and unlimited bandwidth, if the site is down most of the time, and the support is unresponsive, you will understand how frustrating it is to have committed a certain (if not large) amount of money on an unreliable web host.
So how do you find a reliable web host?
Tools
There are a few tools or methodologies that I use in order to determine the odds of a web host being reliable is high or not. The first, is the number of domains or subscribers the web host has. You can use the following tool:
http://www.webhosting.info/webhosts/
What the tool does is, it finds out the total domain that’s hosted by a particular web host. For example, DreamHost has about 700k domains. Why does this matter? Compare 2 hosts, one having 700 domains, and the other having 700k domains. Which one do you think has better resources to provide reliable support for you? If the webhost earns $2 (just an estimate) per month per domain, the one with 700 domains only earns $1400 per month. Do you think the webhost is sufficiently financed to provide 24/7 support? Or maintain a 99.99% uptime? Of course, this is just a guesswork, since the company with large funds may still provide a bad service, but if you look at the odds, which one will you bet on?
Of course, you don’t have to choose the web host with the most number of domains since its hosting package may not necessarily be attractive in terms of value-for-money. IMHO, as long as a web host has a sufficiently large number of domains, that should be enough. I’ll let you decide the number yourself, since it’s subjective.
Next is on the speed issue. How do you know if your webhost is fast enough? And especially important for those that serves visitors from all over the world, how sure are you that your web host can maintain its speed performance over different geographical regions? If you’re considering a local web host, and its sample sites loads fast for you, how sure are you it’ll load as fast in New York, or London, or even Japan? How can you find out?
This brings us to the next tool:
http://www.dotcom-monitor.com/task_hot_test.asp?id=1
This tool is a tool for sampling website performance from different geographical regions, from the US, Europe, Australia, etc. Bear in mind that website performance is also dependent on whether a site has been optimized for performance, and judge accordingly. As an example, on average, byfallenangel.com loads in about 1.5s over different geographical domains. Another site of mine takes an average of 3.5s to load. And another, 0.5s.
So, please also take this issue into consideration and don’t be misled by the fast performance of a text-only site. One equally important point is to ensure that the site loading time does not vary too far from different geographical regions.
Err, now that you have the tool, how do you find out if a web host performs well? Test its domain? Yes, if you don’t have much time to spare, the easiest way is to perform this test on the web host itself, although I wouldn’t recommend that you stop here. This is because the web host’s main domain could have been optimized to serve a large amount of traffic, and it may not reflect the true performance of your possibly assigned account.
What I will usually do is search for other sites that is hosted with the web host, and run the test on those sites instead. This will usually give a more accurate picture of the performance of your future site, should you decide to host there.
Good luck!
